Mallards 2011 begins to take shape, several days before any of the boys arrive. Here you see the (new for this year) spectacle that is the Mallards shower block. Constructed, painted, dismantled, then transported to Norfolk, it turned out to be quite the feat of modern engineering. Well done Tris.
Behold the feats of engineering that went into merely assembling the shower block. Yes, we're that dedicated. Naturally all necessary safety precautions were taken.

The Mallards moor up for lunch at/invade the otherwise quiet and pleasant mooring at Irstead. And lo, there were many sausage rolls.
After lunch, one boat has an encounter with the bank that ends with the skipper embarrassingly dropping the quantpole. But who can it be?
