Wood Anemone/Anemone

to the tune of 'Manamana' by the Muppets
by the crew of Wood Anemone / mallards 2014

Menemone - we love to sail
Mnemane - we're really good
Mmnemoe - with James and Isaac, and Cedric, and Andy, and Tom, so welcome to our crew

Manema - our boat is wooden
Mnumena - we're sure of that
Mnemone - but for the next bit, we're not sure, quite how to, pronounce the next word after that

Ali Hogben

by Ed, Andy and Vicki / mallards 2014

He sailed on the Broads and when he gybed
His crew would cling onto the side
And sometimes scream a little bit in terror
He rowed with strength, he tacked with skill
He made his mate and crew feel ill
He sometimes did a capsize drill - no warning.

Ali Hogben, Ali Hogben, Ali Hogben, Ali Ho-g-ben.

He sailed on the Broads and when he tacked
His mainsail wasn't always backed
The cruisers and the zits all fled before him
His sails were always neatly set
He never got his mainsail wet
He passed out sweets where skippers met - and for free.

Ali Hogben, Ali Hogben, Ali Hogben, Ali Ho-g-ben.

He sailed on the Broads and when he moored
His bowsprit almost never skewered
Another boat, a bridge, a bank or cruiser
But now his sailing's almost done
We'd like to thank him for the fun
We'll miss him mooring on a run - not really.

Ali Hogben, Ali Hogben, Ali Hogben, Ali Ho-g-ben.
